Over the Hill

The Over the Hill cartridge is fun and versitile.  You can use it to celebrate a milestone birthday or again at Halloween.  Some of the fun images include 3D items, like this cool lantern.

The card is quick to make, using only 2 cuts, and its folds are unique twist on a traditional card.

You can change up the colors to even use this cartridge to make a crown, top hat or even a mask for Mardi Gras.

This envelope was used from the same cartridge to cut a pouch for the seed back.  The flower is the Stamp of the Month (Friendship Boquet) from CTMH.

Spring Holiday Cards

Hi everyone! This is Kassidy from Inking It Up Crazy. I am super excited to be a part of the fabulous Memory Miser Creative Team!  This month I got to explore the Cricut Cartridge: Spring Holiday Cards

I am going to be honest, when I first saw Provo Craft release this cartridge, I thought it was okay, something I couldn’t see myself ever using.  It looked like it took the creativity out of cardmaking.  However, after getting the chance to play with it, I couldn’t be more wrong.

This is a great cartridge for anyone!  The beginning crafter to the advance crafter.

What I liked about it was:

  •  EASY TO USE (only 2 cuts to make an entire card)
  • Great for those that don’t have a lot of time to create a card
  • Great for kids to use
  • Matching Envelopes
  • AMAZING GIFT BOXES (If it was me, I would definitely purchase this cartridge for just the gift boxes alone)

Here are a few projects I made with the Spring Holiday Cards:

Wouldn’t this be a fun gift box for any “fungi” in your life.  I have such a hard time making boyish projects but this cartridge makes it super easy.

I love the gift boxes so much that I created some for Mother’s Day!  I also used the April Showers Cricut Cartridge to cut the flower.

I needed a gift card holder for a birthday and decided to turn a basic envelope cut into a gift card holder.  I used the back of the envelope as the front and added some inking, button, twine and a fun stamp from My Pink Stamper that Memory Miser also sells.

I hope you all enjoyed my projects using the Spring Holiday Cards Cricut Cartridge!

See you all soon!

Hugs, Kassidy

Father’s Day Cartridge

It was so much fun working with Father’s Day, one of Cricut’s seasonal collections.  With 28 guy-themed images, it was the perfect cartridge for creating some projects that revolve around my husband.

For this layout, I used all matching paper from one collection.  That was important when cutting those beer cans as you can see they match perfectly on the page.

One of the tags says “Best Dad Ever.”  I simply cut  tag, and then cut out the letters I wanted to use for this tag at the top of the page.

One of the reasons I love my Cricut is that my image can be any color I need it to be to match my layout

I love the shape of this tag.  It makes such a fun embellishment on the page!

In this project, I want to show how easy it is to create “game night” invitations.  This one was created for a card party, but there are great images for any other types of game nights, too!

I wrapped ribbon around the card, so in order to give this card a 3-D look, I used pop dots on the cards and poker chips.  Fun!

My husband was very happy to catch a 45″ muskie last summer!  I wanted to make an inexpensive “frame” for this picture to have in his man cave.  (Man cave is one on the images on this cartridge, too!)  This is two coasters tied together with hemp.  So easy, fun, and perfect for a fishing picture!

When you look at this fishing basket and fishing pole closely, note that you could cut the fishing pole off very easily if you’d like.  That makes this a very versatile image!  The word “super” was cut from the tag that reads Super Dad.  I love when a dice-cut can be so much more than it appears!

After many applications and much deliberation we are excited to announce our Creative Team!  They will serve a 6 month term from May-October.  Congratulations and welcome to the Memory Miser family!

My name is Kassidy and I am addicted to all things crafting. I am lucky and get to craft for work. I was born and raised in Utah, and am still living here with my husband. I enjoy everything playing around with my cricut, making cards for others and just being happy.

My name is Brenda Rose, and I am thrilled to be a Creative Team Designer for Memory Miser!  You know, I have been paper crafting for as long as I remember, and it became a passion for me about seven years ago.  It was then that I started teaching paper crafting and helping others see that all things paper can bring much joy into their lives.  I so enjoy working with the Cricut and finding ways to bring my paper crafting to another level with creative use of die-cuts.  I live in Minnesota, and the main subjects of my scrapbook pages are my very supportive husband of 21 years and our wonderfully creative adult son.

Hi! My name is Leanne Garner! I live in Northern Alabama. I’ve been married to my best friend for 20 years! We have a son, Kyle who is 18! I purchased my first Cricut in 2007 and started out on a journey of scrapbooking, but somewhere along the way I also ventured in to making cards, mini albums, and altering anything that was not nailed down! I’m a stay at home mom and you usually can find me in what I call my play room creating! I hope that you enjoy my creations and that I will inspire you in some way!
